Episode 6 – Martyn Everitt | The Story Behind Royal Sharks Poker 🦈 I

n Episode 6 of the All-In Poker Podcast, Our Host Adam had the pleasure of sitting down with Martyn Everitt, founder of The Royal Sharks Poker, for a really interesting chat about his journey through poker and how an idea born from playing pub poker has grown into a rapidly expanding poker league. Martyn takes us back to his early days playing poker at university, before getting involved in running a Pub Poker League himself. It was through that experience that he began to see an opportunity to create something different — a poker league that could offer better benefits for both venues and players. We talk about how that idea eventually became Royal Sharks Poker, the challenges of building a league from the ground up, and the incredible growth the league has experienced since January 2025. Martyn also opens up about the next chapter of the journey, as he prepares to leave his full-time job and take Royal Sharks Poker on full-time, with the league continuing to grow at an incredible rate. A great conversation about poker, business, taking a chance on an idea and turning a passion into a career. 🦈 This is the story behind Royal Sharks Poker.
